The High Line Canal Conservancy – its Board and staff – condemns racial injustice and supports equal protection for, and treatment of, the Black community and all people of color.

We understand that these recent tragic events are not an isolated moment but are part of a long history of injustice for the Black community. The High Line Canal moves through some of the most racially diverse communities in the State. A critical part of our continuing mission is to enhance the Canal in these communities, creating a safe and accessible space where all people feel welcome. Open spaces, like the High Line Canal, belong to everyone and we are working to reduce barriers to enjoy the trail’s natural beauty. The Conservancy will continue to seek out diverse voices to guide our mission and champion diversity, equity and inclusion.
