Join the biggest cleanup event of the year — the Annual Aurora Cleanup!

On Saturday, April 8 from 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. we’ll work together with the High Line Canal Conservancy, Aurora Volunteers, Aurora Water and Denver Water to remove trash all along the Canal in Aurora.

As a recreational and ecological greenway, the High Line Canal provides important habitat for plants and wildlife, while enhancing the lives of people throughout the region. Parks and recreational spaces are increasingly impacted by trash and debris, which deter trail users, disrupt ecosystems, harm wildlife and impact the health of surrounding communities. This cleanup is a great opportunity for individuals or groups to learn about the importance of preventing pollution of our waterways and natural spaces.

All volunteers are required to bring their own water, snacks and any other necessary items to the stewardship events. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves such as work or gardening gloves. We will provide work gloves to anyone who does not have their own. Please wear appropriate clothing and closed-toed shoes as volunteers will be walking through various terrain potentially including mud or ice. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

If the event is canceled due to inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for Saturday, April 15.
