About the Owner
The High Line Canal Conservancy (HLCC) is a Colorado nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the 71-mile High Line Canal corridor into a world-class linear park. Originally constructed in the 1880s as an agricultural irrigation channel, the Canal now serves as one of the Denver metro area’s most beloved green corridors, connecting eleven jurisdictions from the foothills of Douglas County to the plains of Adams County. HLCC is managing capital improvement projects along the corridor in close partnership with local jurisdictions and Denver Parks and Recreation (the canal’s local property owner at Green Valley Ranch).
