About the Owner

The High Line Canal Conservancy (HLCC) is a Colorado nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the 71-mile High Line Canal corridor into a world-class linear park. Originally constructed in the 1880s as an agricultural irrigation channel, the Canal now serves as one of the Denver metro area’s most beloved green corridors, connecting eleven jurisdictions from the foothills of Douglas County to the plains of Adams County. HLCC is managing capital improvement projects along the corridor in close partnership with local jurisdictions and Denver Water (the canal’s local property owner at Origin). The Origin Trailhead at Waterton Road marks the approximate two-mile marker of the trail and an important capital improvement project that HLCC is advancing as part of the community’s long-term vision for the Canal.
