Welcome! I am a Bur Oak. I have been here quite a while and am VERY happy to say I have been adopted through the High Line Canal Conservancy as a birthday gift to honor Elsie H Humes. (Between you and me, she has been around for a while too.)

 

Elsie carries on every day without fanfare. She gives freely of her time to make the world and the High Line Canal in particular, a place of beauty, comfort, and joy.  I look forward to going through life with her and you.
