Volunteer Tree Planting

Join the High Line Canal Conservancy for a volunteer tree planting program! We will be planting saplings together along the trail to support the ecological health of the Canal corridor.

No prior training or experience is needed to participate in this planting program — you will receive all the on-the-job training required. Please keep in mind that planting can be physically intensive work (involving bending and digging holes).

Please bring:

  • Water bottle
  • Gardening gloves if you have some – we will provide extra gloves.
  • Sun protection
  • Wear closed-toe shoes and clothing suitable for gardening.

We will free provide lunch!

All volunteers must sign our online volunteering waiver once annually. Volunteers under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian signature and children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

By registering for this program you agree to abide by the policies in our volunteer agreement.

We hope to see you there!
