Brush Removal

Join the High Line Canal Conservancy for a brush removal on Saturday, May 4 from 9 – 11:30 a.m. along the Canal in Aurora!

We will walk in and along the Canal to remove accumulations of woody debris. With stormwater flowing in the Canal, the buildup of brush and debris can create blockages that hinder the flow of water. By removing these blockages we can restore stormwater flow which provides ecological and social benefits by preserving and enhancing the natural resources of the corridor.

Please bring your own water bottle, snacks, and any other needed items. Please bring your own work or gardening gloves if you have them. We will provide water for refills, some snacks, and work gloves to anyone who does not have their own. Please wear appropriate clothing including long pants and closed-toed shoes as you will be walking through various terrain potentially including shallow water and mud.

All volunteers must sign our online volunteering waiver once annually. Volunteers under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian signature and children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

By registering for this program you agree to abide by the policies in our volunteer agreement.

We hope to see you there!
