Join the Aurora History Museum and High Line Canal Conservancy for a walk around DeLaney farm, a homestead site once irrigated by the High Line.

Dug by hand in the late 1800’s, the 71-mile long Canal was originally constructed as an irrigation ditch to bring South Platte River water to surrounding farmlands. Today, the Canal is a cherished recreational trail.

History Hikes are monthly opportunities May through October to learn about Aurora while outside. We go to relevant sites to explore topics from sod houses to military history. Each event is about 60-90 minutes with content written for adults. This event is free to attend.
