Pet dogs and eat donuts!

Join us for the fifth annual Dogs + Donuts! Enjoy a fun morning on the Canal with your pup. You bring the dogs and we’ll bring the donuts!

Meet us right next to the Canal at Shelter A in deKoevend Park, 6301 S University Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121.

Bring your friends and family (both two-legged and four-legged) and enjoy:

• Play with puppies from Lifeline Puppy Rescue, sponsored by ZAG Project
• Pet portraits from Crimson Cat Studios
• Mobile grooming van from Rainbow Grooming
• Training tips from Denver Dog Guru
• Ice pool for your pup to beat the heat (or munch some ice cubes)
• Beginner agility and rally obstacles to try out
• Group dog walks along the Canal around deKoevend Park to learn about the Canal’s history and future, and what you can do to protect the nature of the trail when exploring with your pets! Walks will begin at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. each lasting approximately 30-40 minutes.

What can you do to care for the Canal when walking your dog?

The High Line Canal is a cherished resource for people, pets, and wildlife! Help keep the Canal and your pets safe by practicing these Leave No Trace principles.

1. Pick up the poop! Always bag and throw away your dog’s waste in trash cans. Dog poop is the third largest contributor of bacterial pollution in urban waterways.
2. Leash the beast: Keep dogs on a 6-foot leash for their safety and the safety of wildlife and other trail users.
3. Respect wildlife: keep leashed dogs close to you when you encounter wildlife on the trail to give wild critters space. Do not let your pet disturb wildlife by chasing them, no matter how tempting those bunnies look!
