Crawdad Catching and Exploration

Friday, August 1

Beat the heat with some fun in the creek!

Join the High Line Canal Conservancy and the City of Aurora Naturalists for a fun, hands-on family adventure! We’ll provide all the supplies you need to search for crawdads in the Sand Creek at Star K Ranch. Learn about these fascinating critters and see how many your family can catch and release. We’ll learn why crawdads are in Sand Creek but not in the adjacent High Line Canal, and what the future of the Canal looks like in north Aurora. Perfect for curious kids and nature-loving adults alike!
