August 30 Weed Removal
Volunteer With Us!
Join us for a weed removal event in Denver (Green Valley Ranch).
We will work together to remove non-native species (specifically Goathead/Puncture vine and Sandbur). Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome — there is a role for everyone!
Details:
- Date: Saturday, August 30
- Time: 8 – 10:30 a.m.
- Location: Green Valley Ranch East Park
- What to wear: Long pants, long sleeves, and sturdy closed-toe shoes. The weeds are very pointy and scratchy!
- What to bring: Reusable water bottle and gardening or work gloves if you have them. We will provide water for refills and lots of extra gloves.
- Accessibility: Flat and wide paved trail. There may not be access to restrooms at this event.
- Pets: Pets are not permitted at stewardship events. Service animals are always welcome.
Waiver: All registrants must sign a Volunteer Waiver (Renuncia Voluntaria en Español) once annually. Electronic waivers are much preferred, but paper waivers will also be available at the event. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian signature on the waiver and children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
