June 14 Brush Removal

Volunteer With Us!

Join us for a brush removal event in Centennial
We will work together to remove dead woody debris like sticks and logs from the Canal to aid in the flow of water and reduce fuel for fires. Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome — there is a role for everyone!

Details:

  • Date: Saturday, June 14
  • Time: 8:30 – 11 a.m.
  • Location: Centennial. Final location will be emailed to all volunteers.
  • What to wear: long pants, long sleeves, and sturdy closed-toe shoes. There may be mud and water in the Canal. Prepare to get your feet wet!
  • What to bring: Reusable water bottle and gardening or work gloves if you have them. We will provide water for refills and lots of extra gloves.
  • Accessibility: Flat and wide trail made of gravel. There will be access to restrooms at this event.
  • Pets: Pets are not permitted at stewardship events. Service animals are always welcome.

Waiver: All registrants must sign a Volunteer Waiver (Renuncia Voluntaria en Español) once annually. Electronic waivers are much preferred, but paper waivers will also be available at the event. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian signature on the waiver and children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
