April 12 Trash Cleanup

Volunteer With Us!

Join us for a community trash cleanup in Denver
We will work together to pick up litter along the channel and trail to preserve the health and beauty of the Canal habitat. Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome — there is a role for everyone!

Details:

  • Date: Saturday, April 12
  • Time: 9 – 11:30 a.m.
  • Location: Denver. Final location will be emailed to all volunteers with parking instructions 3 days before the cleanup.
  • What to wear: Layers, long pants, and sturdy closed-toe shoes. There may be ice, mud, or water in the Canal.
  • What to bring: Reusable water bottle and gardening or work gloves if you have them. We will provide water for refills, trash bags, trash grabbers, and lots of extra gloves.
  • Accessibility: Flat and wide trail made of gravel. There may not be access to bathrooms.
  • Pets: Pets are not permitted at stewardship events. Service animals are always welcome.

Waiver: All registrants must sign a Volunteer Waiver (Renuncia Voluntaria en Español) once annually. Electronic waivers are much preferred, but paper waivers will also be available at the event. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian signature on the waiver and children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
