The High Line Canal Conservancy is proud to participate in Colorado Gives Day for the second year in support of our beloved High Line Canal, an important piece of Colorado history. Early on in the year, the Denver metro area trail was selected by Governor John Hickenlooper as one of Colorado’s top priority 16 in 2016 trails – showing its importance as one of our state’s most critical multi-jurisdictional recreational assets. Over the course of the year, we have engaged with thousands of passionate Canal users from a diverse spectrum of communities along all 71 miles that voiced a common desire to preserve and enhance  the Canal as an urban refuge. 2016 has been a banner year for our beloved urban trail, now let’s join other Coloradans in supporting our most passionate causes and make it one for the record books!

What is Colorado Gives Day?

Colorado Gives Day is an annual statewide movement to celebrate and foster philanthropy in Colorado through online giving.

How does it work?

This year, Community First Foundation and FirstBank each contributed $500,000 to create a $1,000,000 incentive fund. The High Line Canal Conservancy will receive a portion of the incentive fund based on the proportion of donations it receives during the 24 hour window on December 6th. The more the Conservancy brings in, the more it will receive from the incentive fund. Click here for more information.

How can I give to the High Line Canal?

Donate to the High Line Canal Conservancy anytime beginning at 12 Am on December 6th. Don’t want to wait that long? You can mark your calendar to give on December 6th or schedule your donation in advance. Donate now by clicking here!

Why donate to the High Line Canal Conservancy?

This year, thanks to generous public support and inter-jurisdictional cooperation, the High Line Canal Conservancy led an unprecedented outreach and visioning effort to develop a community-driven Vision and Action Plan for the Canal’s long-term future. Our efforts continue in 2017 with on-the-ground projects and a comprehensive master planning initiative. Your donation will have an immediate impact on our continued efforts to preserve, protect and enhance all 71 miles or our High Line Canal for generations to come. Schedule your gift today!
