Questions + Answers

(6/21)
The revised RFP states that you want teams to include the Signage and Wayfinding scope of work in their proposals. Does that also mean that you want a consultant on the team (prime or other) identified to complete that scope of work? Attachment B still refers to a separate RFP process for the Detailed Signage and Wayfinding scope.

We would like you to identify a team member and provide a fee estimate for this large component of the work. We knew there was a strong likelihood that any team would need to bring on a consultant with specific design and/or wayfinding expertise, but we wanted to reserve the right to select a different team member should the committee so decide. This is an opportunity for us to see how you would approach this component of the project and who you would prefer to work with.

Is the Conservancy planning to continue engaging Zoeller Consulting directly for this next phase of planning?

We have no plans to engage Zoeller directly.

Could you confirm that Section 5 – References does not count toward the allotted 25 page count, or that references can be added as an Appendix based on Format Requirements on page 7 of the RFP?

They can be in addition to the 25 page count limit.

Is the Framework Plan considered to be the major final planning effort for each character zone? Or are Character Zone Plans anticipated to follow as a next phase of planning?

This is considered the final major planning effort.

Could you provide an update on the timing of any additional technical stormwater studies being completed by Denver Water and/or the Core Team, so we can understand how the timing of the Framework Plan compares

Most of the work will be concurrent.  The stormwater masterplan will be completed in summer or early Fall 2018. However, stormwater masterplan updates will be provided and useful to the framework planning team.

Being behind in the proposal process, I’m hoping you may have copies of notes, questions, or other information from the pre-proposal meeting held June 8th.

There are not any notes from the pre proposal telephone conference, since only one person called in. However, there have been subsequent questions received by email. All questions have been or will be answered on our website – so please make sure to look there.

Can a firm submit for just the signage & wayfinding portion of the project?

That is an acceptable approach. Please note that many teams will likely include a sub consultant for that  scope, since that is what is requested in the RFP. The Conservancy does reserve the right to select a consultant separately for the signage and wayfinding scope – and if that happens, the selected lead consultant will still be responsible for managing the work and the signage and wayfinding firm will be a sub consultant to them.

Can we provide examples of similar plans in the digital copy only and as part of the appendix (beyond the 25 pages)?

Yes, the examples can be in the appendix and not part of the 25 page limit.
