In partnership with Walk2Connect, Chris Englert of EatWalkLearn, a Walking Movement Leader, will lead 14 community walks (plus one built-in weather day) along the High Line Canal from November to March. The walks take place on specific Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 9 am – see below for the complete schedule.
Join us for all segments or just one to explore our favorite urban trail
Ranging from 5-8 miles, these segments allow you to continuously walk close to 98% of the Canal this winter. We’ll walk at a pleasant 2-3 mph, creating wonderful connection and conversation. All participants who complete segments will receive a water bottle and any walker who completes all 14 segments by the last scheduled segment will receive a special token from the High Line Canal Conservancy signifying the completion of the entire Canal trail.
Sign up by visiting each specific event page linked below. Signing up is required, as final logistics related to parking and gathering for each segment will be emailed or available by phone to walkers ahead of time.
Please share with your friends and invite them to join – this is a unique opportunity to enjoy winter in the outdoors, connecting with nature and each other!
