At 71 miles long, the High Line Canal is one of the longest continuous urban trails in the country, twisting through the most populated area of Colorado while crossing a diverse mosaic of communities and nature. The Canal originates at Waterton Canyon in Douglas County and runs to Green Valley Ranch in Northeast Denver, falling within one mile of more than 350,000 residents. This summer, the High Line Canal takes front and center in a huge effort to raise awareness of this wonderful community resource.

In partnership with Walk2Connect, Walking Movement Leaders will lead 11 community walks along the High Line Canal from June to October at different times and for different lengths.

Join us for all segments or just one! Ranging from 4 miles to 11, these segments allow you to continuously walk close to 98% of the Canal this summer. We’ll walk at a pleasant 2-3 mph, creating wonderful connection and conversation. All participants who complete segments will receive a water bottle and any walker who completes all 11 segments per the below schedule will receive a branded tag from the High Line Canal Conservancy signifying the completion of the entire Canal trail.
